The Myterra Difference:

Grain is highly nutritious and full of starch and sugars. Our perfectly hydrated grains serve as an ideal food source for mushroom mycelia. Unfortunately, this is also an ideal growing environment for contaminants - which in most cases can grow much faster and stronger than mushroom mycelia. For that reason, Myterra grains are completely sterilized to kill off any contaminants and spores. When pure mushroom mycelia is added to our sterilized and hydrated grain it has no competition, allowing it to proliferate throughout the grain.

Sterilized grain bags are ready-to-use, but can be stored for several months at room temperature before inoculation.
